Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse. At Odyssey House, it is our mission to help people understand their true potential, free of drugs and alcohol.

Odyssey operates the Martindale Clinic which provides integrated medical services during and after your treatment stay. I have never felt more appreciated as a employer than I have working for Odyssey House. The majority of treatment agencies are not required to track outcomes, and there is not an industry standard in place to dictate what is collected. It is important that a treatment agency has some outcome measures in place and that they have statistical validity.

Programs

In terms of sober living facilities for adults, the organization describes them as “newly remodeled apartments” with on-call staff and structured community activities. Images show fully-furnished private rooms with kitchens, private baths, and living rooms. Pictures published on the facility’s website show a grand, beautiful building with cozy community areas and shared rooms for adults in residential treatment.

Parents can focus ongetting better — both for themselves and for their families knowing that their childrenare close by and well taken care of. We work with pregnant women and parents who have kids aged from newborn to 11 years old. Parents can enter care with all of their children who fit this age range based upon availability. Parents will engage in our special education on parenting, vocational prep, life skills, and physical fitness. Our team is available to guide you through the steps of assessing your insurance coverage for addiction treatment. Addiction Resource does not offer medical diagnosis, treatment, or advice.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life. Our staff specializes in treating co-occurring disorders that typically accompany mental health and addiction through various best practice interventions. Our services truly address each aspect of the individual, producing whole person change. Without addressing all barriers, individuals continue to struggle, and to us, that is simply unacceptable.

About the Facility

We may be paid a fee for marketing or advertising by organizations that can assist with treating people with substance use disorders. For clients who don’t have insurance, cash payments may be a better option. In addition, the treatment center maintains multiple government contracts to help people pay for much-needed care. Successful recovery from drug and alcohol abuse requires teens to learn additional tools to keep them focused on their sobriety. Most of the adults and children in this program have trauma, and our specially trained staff address these unique and sensitive issues.

Adolescent residential treatment features all of the above, but teenagers also get to attend an academy where they can continue their high school education while in recovery. Teens work with specialized teachers, and each classroom has up to 12 students. Adopting a non-traditional treatment approach, she partnered with her patients to form a peer-driven therapeutic community. Due to the comprehensive Children’s Services Program, the Single Parents with Childrenprogram is one of the most successful programs within the agency.

Participants meet 1-2 times weekly in groups, and can complete all steps of the MRT program in 3-6 months. While 30 days is the shortest treatment period, the length of stay is usually six to nine months. Treatment is highly individualized using TC (Therapeutic Community) model with a dual diagnosis option. Patients attend one individual group session a week and two group sessions a day.

Many facilities offer virtual services and evening, night, and weekend sessions to accommodate clients’ schedules. Outpatient care typically includes rigorous psychotherapy, including group and family counseling. Most programs also prioritize addiction education and recovery-focused life skills training. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is common for clients with alcohol and/or opioid dependency.

That is okay, we will not report anything regarding your UA’s (unless you authorize us to) to anyone. Odyssey is bound by very strict confidentiality laws to protect your private information. We don’t anticipate you will have a clean UA when you enter care for drug treatment (if you do, that is a bonus). We train teens on certain marketable skills and provide basic employment preparedness activities.

Founded in 1951, the Joint Commision's mission is to improve the quality of patient care and demonstrating the quality of patient care. Attending outpatient care and meeting the other obligations of your life can be very stressful. Odyssey provides treatment services in the evening to help account for jobs and childcare needs. Therapy sessions can be scheduled around your busy day to keep your treatment as stress free as possible.

Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA). Clients often choose to enter intensive outpatient programs (IOP) when they exit inpatient rehab. Intensive outpatient rehabs offer high-level care for clients in early recovery and those at an elevated risk of relapse, typically requiring them to commit to between nine and 20 hours of treatment per week.
